When a European high jewelry maison sought a partner to translate their legacy into wearable art, they turned to JLX Studio. The vision was clear: craft eyewear with the permanence of a family heirloom. The result is HEIRLOOM GOLD—a fusion of haute joaillerie precision and Japanese optical craftsmanship, built for global luxury and emerging brands alike.
The Anatomy of Timelessness
In true luxury, restraint speaks loudest. We specified deep-dyed Italian acetates (Mazzucchelli 1849) and traditional celluloid, paired exclusively with solid 18ct gold or platinum—never plated. The soul of each frame hides within a custom 5-barrel hinge: a micro-pavé diamond or Ceylon sapphire, revealed only to the wearer. Every pair is hand-assembled in Japan to artisanal exactitude.

* HG-01 “THE BARRISTER” – Slim Wellington in jet black acetate, 18ct gold hinge caps with a single micro-pavé diamond. Authority in quiet confidence.
* HG-02 “THE COLLECTOR” – Vintage round in warm cognac celluloid, platinum temple overlays, hidden Ceylon sapphire. A tactile masterpiece.
* HG-03 “THE EDITOR” – Semi-rimless rectangle: bold black acetate top rim, whisper-thin 18ct gold lower perimeter, hidden diamond pavé in satin hinges.
* HG-04 “THE SOVEREIGN” – The hero piece. Heavy dark tortoiseshell square with solid gold temple overlay flowing into a diamond-pavé crown at the hinge.
* HG-05 “THE DECO SQUARE” – Architectural matte black square with solid 18ct gold bridge bar and linear temple engravings, 1920s geometry reimagined.
* HG-06 “THE BUTTERFLY” – Softly curved retro-modern silhouette, universally flattering, merging glamour with structural precision.
